How to Withdraw Foreign Currency to Your Account on Vban (2026)

Withdraw USD, EUR, GBP to Your Local Bank Account on Vban

One of the most common questions new Vban users ask is: after I receive my international payment, how do I actually get the money into my local bank account?

The answer is two steps: convert your foreign currency balance to your local currency, then send it to your bank. Both steps are free on Vban, and the entire process takes under 5 minutes from start to finish.

Here is exactly how to do it.

How to Convert Your Foreign Currency to Local Currency

Before you can withdraw to your local bank, you need to convert your USD, GBP, or EUR balance to your local currency: NGN, GHS, XAF, XOF, or whichever currency your bank account holds.

  1. Log into your Vban app.
  2. On your home screen, navigate to the currency wallet you want to convert from — USD, GBP, or EUR.
  3. Tap on the wallet to open it. You will see your total available balance in that currency.
  4. Tap the “Convert Funds” button.
  5. Enter the amount you want to convert. You do not have to convert your full balance — you can convert any portion.
  6. Select the local currency you want to convert to. Vban supports NGN, GHS, XAF, XOF, and more.
  7. The app will immediately show you the equivalent amount in your local currency at the current exchange rate. Review the rate before proceeding.
  8. Tap “Continue” to confirm.

Your balance converts instantly and the conversion is completely free.

Tip: You do not have to convert immediately after receiving a payment. Vban lets you hold your USD, GBP, or EUR balance until the exchange rate works for you. Many users monitor the rate and convert when it peaks, a benefit traditional domiciliary accounts do not offer. For more on this, see our guide on how to receive international payments in Nigeria.

Once your balance has been converted to local currency, you are ready to send it to your bank account.

  1. Go back to your Vban home screen.
  2. Tap the “Send” button.
  3. Select the local currency wallet you want to send from NGN, GHS, XAF, XOF, or whichever currency you just converted to.
  4. Enter the amount you want to withdraw.
  5. Select “Bank Transfer” as the transfer method.
  6. Enter your bank account number and select your bank from the list. Vban supports transfers to any local bank in your country
  7. Select the purpose of the transfer and add a narration if required.
